I crossed the Atlantic with her and lived 5 Years on ´Antares´. After a reef contact in 2008 she was damaged on the port side hull and repaired with epoxy in the La Ceiba shipyard. There is still some electrical work to do, because saltwater came in for about 30 min. I recommend to renew all electric wires. the engine runs fine without any problems but the starter selenoid has to be renewed. The Volvo can be started manualy! Windless and Alternator are overhault.New cushion (foam) can be buyed here in La Ceiba for less then 100.- US $. She comes with a Harken MK furling system and a new mainsail (2006) and Genua, working Jib. the price is very low, because of the fact that she is in Honduras. She is ready to sail! Price is not negotiable!!! |
